Prior to joining Beijing Sino-Creativity, Mr. Derek zhang worked  as a patent attorney in another IP law firm for many years.

Mr. Derek zhang was admitted to South China University of Technology, majored in Electronic Information Institute. After he graduated and gained a bachelor degree of engineering in June 2003, he was continue admitted to South China University of Technology, majored in Electronic Information Institute for Master degree, and he gained a bachelor degree of engineering in June 2006. Mr. Derek zhang obtained the patent attorney qualification in 2008 and the Legal professional qualification in 2010, and he engaged in the patent work since May 2009. 

Mr. Derek zhang specializes in patent agency and legal service. He has extensive experience in a mechanical and computer areas, including Machinery, electronics, communication, automobile, etc.He provides legal services in patent application, inquiry, search, patent re-examination and invalidation, patent infringement analyses, patent administrative and legal proceedings, investigation of patent infringements by administrative authorities, and other matters related to intellectual property rights. His clients include: Shanghai GM, Dongfeng Nissan，Kohler, ABB, Shenhua group, JD, Letv, etc. 

Mr. Zhang is proficient in English and Chinese.
